The Board of Commissioners met via Zoom on July 5, 2022. Mayor Jakubowski called the meeting to order and read the required public-notice statement, saying notices were published in the Courier Post and the Retrospect and posted in accordance with Title 10 of the New Jersey Statutes Annotated.
Commissioner Whitman moved to approve the minutes of the June 21, 2022 meeting; Commissioner Lee seconded the motion, which carried unanimously.
Later in the meeting the board considered Resolution 2022-94, "authorizing a closed session for contract and personnel matter." Commissioner Lee moved the resolution and Commissioner Whitman seconded; the motion passed with all in favor. Those listed as present for the closed session included Mayor Jakubowski; Commissioners Whitman and Lee; Borough Administrator Dave Taraschi; solicitors Salvatore Siciliano and Jennifer McPeak; Chief Tom Tassi; and Borough Clerk Bonnie Taft. The minutes record only that a contract matter and a personnel issue were discussed; no further details or outcomes were entered into the public record.
Commissioner Lee moved to come out of closed session and later moved to adjourn; both motions were approved and the meeting adjourned at 6:13 p.m.
The meeting record lists routine reports from departments and attached monthly reports from fire, library, recreation and other departments but records no formal votes or actions beyond the minutes approval, Resolution 2022-94, and the adjournment.
