Audubon commissioners approve first reading of budget ordinance and pass a slate of administrative resolutions

Additional resolutions approved during the meeting included authorization to pay March bills and to approve 2022 appropriation reserve transfers (Resolutions 2023‑57 and 2023‑58), authorization to accept RFPs for a cell phone tower lessee (Resolution 2023‑59), approval to increase deferred local school tax (Resolution 2023‑60), and formal ratification of a submission for a Congressionally Directed Spending allocation to support the Audubon Canopy and Butterfly Project (Resolution 2023‑61). The board also authorized participation in the 2023 Sustainable Jersey–PSE&G Energy Efficiency Partnership Program (Resolution 2023‑62), completed self‑examination steps for the 2023 municipal budget (Resolution 2023‑63), and introduced the municipal budget for public hearing on April 18 (Resolution 2023‑64). A submission to the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice Safe and Secure Communities Program was also authorized (Resolution 2023‑65).
The minutes record motions made and seconded for each item and describe the roll call votes as "unanimous" or "all in favor—motion carried" where noted; the minutes do not include numerical vote tallies for each resolution. The meeting moved to a closed session for litigation matters later in the agenda under Resolution 2023‑66 and adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
