Business Manager Angie Holliday presented the district's third-quarter report for January–March 2026; Trustee Dana Mann-Tavegia moved to approve the report and Trustee Joe Prell seconded. The motion carried, recorded in the minutes as "MOTION CARRIED." Holliday noted the board will hold a preliminary budget hearing at the next meeting.
The consent agenda approved earlier in the meeting listed warrants by fund: General Fund warrants #692597–692675 for $180,861.86; Activity Fund #13078–13104 for $32,797.40; Lunch Fund #6406–6410 for $13,836.66; Agency Fund #3007–3008 for $716.68; Special Revenue Fund #6823–6826 for $1,332.04; Major Maintenance Fund #3260–3266 for $34,692.81; Federal Fund #17687–17701 for $60,667.30; Payroll Fund #128930–129129 for $544,033.50; Payee Fund #129130–129153 for $193,502.99; and EFTPS journal transfers #129154–129158 for $276,806.19. Trustee Paul Bau moved to approve the Consent Agenda and Trustee Sean Crabtree seconded; the motion carried.
In facilities updates, Maintenance Director Adam Ertman said middle-school locker-room showers were completed and work on the pool facade was nearly finished, with roofing work to follow by the end of May. Ertman said the district submitted a Building Extension Agreement (BEA) to install a chiller and had sought to proceed via design-build, but the state denied the change; the district must now proceed with a design-bid-build process that requires hiring an engineer before contracting a builder, which will delay the project and shift procurement steps.
Next steps: the board will consider the preliminary budget at the early May meeting on May 12 and administration will begin posting positions and preparing for maintenance projects with updated timelines.
