MPFR board approves equipment purchases and Sale Committee expenses totaling $5,379.91

At its June 8 meeting the Middle Park Fair & Rodeo board approved a set of vendor payments and Sale Committee expenses drawn from the operating and livestock accounts.
Jordan Meeks, presenting the Treasurer’s Report, said the operating account balance was $102,948.70. The board approved a $737.91 purchase from KW Cages for five rabbit cages; the motion to approve was made by Taylor Flanigan and seconded by Koby Miller and passed unanimously.
The board also approved Sale Committee expenses to be paid from the livestock account, which has a balance of $17,636.69. The approved $4,642 in Sale Committee spending covers flower baskets ($180), Mary’s Mountain Cookies ($440), tote bags ($922), and a buyers’ dinner to be provided by Grand Old West ($3,100, which includes servers). Jace Provance moved to approve the expenses and David Valance seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Scholarship account funds were reported at $6,362.18 (including interest). The board reviewed an invoice from Mountain Mamas for banners, flags and backdrops and decided to split those charges between the operating and livestock accounts; final approval will be completed via text after costs are separated.
Votes recorded at the meeting were unanimous where noted; Dalene Harthun was listed absent.
