The Weston County School District #1 Board of Trustees on Feb. 11 approved a series of routine and policy items, accepted a certified resignation and scheduled a closed workshop on district planning.
The board approved the meeting agenda, then approved the consent agenda, which included minutes from Jan. 28, regular bills, an extra-duty resignation and an extra-duty recommendation for middle school volleyball. The board recorded warrants across funds: General Fund $149,243.79; Activity Fund $5,631.92; Lunch Fund $22,444.90; Agency Fund $4,383.61; Major Maintenance $34,232.65; Capital Construction $214,761.00; Federal Fund $51,387.81.
Superintendent LaCroix recommended, and the board approved, revisions to policy IJNDC-R (Artificial Intelligence) and policy JECBA (Admission of Exchange Students). The board also accepted the certified resignation of Candice Watt, a school counselor, effective at the end of the school year and authorized posting the vacancy; Trustee Dana Mann-Tavegia "thanked her for the level of care she gave to the students." Finally, trustees approved advertising a closed workshop on Feb. 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to discuss ADM and future planning.
Motions were moved and seconded by trustees as recorded in the meeting minutes; each motion carried. No roll-call tallies were recorded in the minutes provided.
