The Village of Bolivar council on Nov. 7 accepted the resignation of Council member Zachary Nussbaumer and announced a public application process to fill the vacant seat. Mayor Robert Lloyd said letters of interest should be mailed to his office or placed in the drop box at Village Hall by Nov. 25; interviews are scheduled the first week of December and the appointment is expected at the council's Dec. 5 meeting.
The motion to accept the resignation was made by Diveley and seconded by Pancoe; Diveley, Oberlin, Pancoe and White voted yes. The council gave no additional direction at the meeting on selection criteria beyond the announced deadlines and interview timeline.
The vacancy follows the resignation being recorded in the meeting minutes and will be filled by appointment after the interview process.
