The Village of Saint Charles council handled routine business at its June 12 meeting, approving the meeting agenda, adopting the May 13 minutes and accepting committee and Downtown Development Authority (DDA) minutes before authorizing payment of $229,822.79 in bills.
After roll call and the pledge, the council had no requested agenda adjustments and approved the agenda by voice vote. A motion to approve the May 13 council minutes passed on a subsequent voice vote. The council also accepted and filed reports from the Planning Commission and the Parks and Recreation Committee (May 20) and filed DDA minutes from June 5.
Later in the meeting a motion to pay the village's bills in the amount of $229,822.79 was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Those actions complete the routine administrative business items on the agenda; several operational and policy items, including a code rewrite and infrastructure updates, remained under discussion and will return to the council or planning commission for further action.
