Chief Jordan introduced new night officer Tony Sells to council during the March 10 meeting.
Mayor Lance Symonds provided updates on Cole Park: pickleball nets are installed, the playground is under construction, fencing around diamonds and little Cole Field has been replaced and the Beautification Club will design a new park sign with a possible name of ‘Cole Field Park.’ A dedication is planned for the 2026 Carousel event. The Joint Recreation Board’s first meeting is scheduled for March 18, and the village has submitted a grant application to replace ball-diamond fencing; the project would occur in 2027 or 2028 if awarded.
