I would actually say all four of them." The proposal drew debate: some members urged inspection because only one tree is clearly dead, while others emphasized liability concerns if a dead tree fell on park users.
After discussion the initial removal motion did not carry; the council then approved a motion to table the item until the next meeting so members could view the trees in person and confirm scope and costs. The clerk noted the parks committee could also review and report back.
The vote to table enables further review; council members said staff or volunteers could photograph the trees and the parks committee will be asked to provide recommendations before a final decision.
