Calhoun County supervisors approve election‑records destruction resolution and small staff pay increase

The Calhoun County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution authorizing the destruction of certain election records and granted a probationary pay increase during its Feb. 11, 2025 meeting at the Calhoun County Courthouse in Rockwell City.
On a motion by Scott Jacobs, seconded by Cory Ridgely, the board approved Resolution 2025‑02 "to Authorize Destruction of Election Records in the County Auditor’s Office." The motion carried with the board recording "Ayes all." The three supervisors present were Chairman Dave George, Vice Chairman Cory Ridgely and Member Scott Jacobs.
Later in the meeting the board approved a probationary pay increase for Auditor’s Office employee Savana Dettmann from $22.00 to $22.50 per hour on a motion by Cory Ridgely, seconded by Scott Jacobs; the motion carried ("Ayes all").
Earlier routine business included approving the meeting agenda and the minutes of the prior meeting (each carried on unanimous voice vote), and reviewing and allowing claims checks numbered 78675–78768 and bank drafts DFT0004743–0004769. The meeting record states that no public comments were offered and that no drainage items were presented.
The board recessed a budget workshop at 12:15 p.m. for a Conference Board meeting, resumed the workshop at 1:00 p.m. and continued until 2:30 p.m. The board adjourned and set its next regular meeting for Feb. 18, 2025, at 9:00 a.m.
