Long asked the CDD to assist by designating a board representative and staff or engineering representative to help coordinate multi‑agency work. The board reached consensus that Long and newly appointed Supervisor Keith Merrill would assist; Chair Schultz authorized Mr. Krebs to provide help as necessary. Tony Pires noted ideas from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers presented in neighboring Collier County could inform efforts if funding becomes available.
