River Ridge CDD adopts FY2024/25 budget after minor corrections

The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors adopted its fiscal year 2024/25 budget on Aug. 27 following a public hearing and amendments to correct clerical errors.

During the public hearing, District Manager Mr. Adams told the board that the budget posted in the agenda contained scrivener errors, including a correction to the “Street sweeping” description. Mrs. Adams opened the hearing; no affected property owners or members of the public spoke. On a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the board adopted Resolution 2024-07—relating to the annual appropriations and adopting the budget for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2024—as amended, authorizing budget amendments and providing an effective date.

The adopted resolution formalizes the district’s annual appropriations and authorizes staff to make budget amendments as necessary. The board recorded the adoption as unanimous “with all in favor.”

The adoption follows standard municipal budget procedures: a public hearing, consideration of public input, and board action to approve and authorize the budget. The district’s fiscal year begins Oct. 1, 2024; the resolution provides the legal basis for spending during that period.

Next steps: the district will post the adopted budget and proceed with implementation for the fiscal year starting Oct. 1, 2024. The board did not schedule additional hearings on the budget during the meeting.
