Commissioners approve $252,000 construction‑phase amendment for East Allen Creek pump station

Delaware County commissioners on June 15 approved resolution 26-416, authorizing amendment No. 1 to the professional services agreement with Black & Beak Corporation for the East Allen Creek pump station upgrade.
Eric McPeek, deputy director of operations, told the board the amendment moves the project from engineering into the construction phase and includes submittal reviews, construction support, startup and final record drawings. "The total cost of this project is just over $252,000," McPeek said. He said contractors plan to mobilize to the site later this month and staff expects the pump station to be operational in early 2027, with final closeout the following spring.
Commissioners recorded their approval by vote. Staff said the upgrade is intended to serve additional sewer demand related to ongoing growth in the area; McPeek identified the pump station location as "on Africa Road."
