Charles Ingle, representing the Red Bank Soddy‑Daisy Charitable Foundation, presented the City of Soddy‑Daisy with $23,500 at the Board of Commissioners meeting on March 19, 2026. The board was told the money will be used to build a bridge connecting the ballfields at the city’s north end.
Hardie Stulce, son of Arnold Stulce, said the foundation was seeded after a local hospital was sold (now known as Erlanger North). He described how proceeds from that sale were invested by Mr. Swope and Mr. Arnold Stulce, and that the foundation distributes interest earned on the investments to nearby municipalities each year.
According to Stulce’s account presented to the board, the foundation historically split interest with Red Bank receiving 60 percent and Soddy‑Daisy 40 percent; about 10 years ago the split was changed to an equal 50/50 distribution. Stulce said the foundation has provided more than $1 million in support to each municipality over time. Commissioner Everett thanked the foundation for its contributions and heritage.
The donation was presented as an informational item at the meeting; no formal vote on acceptance was recorded in the minutes. The board acknowledged the foundation’s gift before proceeding to other agenda items, and the meeting adjourned at 6:25 p.m.
