Commission approves minutes, financial report and adjourns; hears Lowes delay and other routine updates

The Boscawen Agricultural Commission opened on June 11, approved the May 14 meeting minutes and a financial report, and adjourned at 7:01 p.m.
Motion to approve the prior minutes was made by Gary Tillman and seconded by Ralph Odell; the motion carried with all in favor. A separate motion to accept the financial report (dated 6/26/2026) was moved by Gary Tillman and seconded by Josh Crawford and recorded as all in favor. The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn by Gary Tillman, seconded by Ralph Odell, also carried unanimously.
On business items, John Keegan reported the Lowes Project decision has been delayed by several months, likely to July or August. Commissioners discussed the children’s garden behind the Dorval house: with a planned pavilion at that site, John Keegan said he will consult with Jeff Abbe about whether plots can be placed there this year. For the monthly photo initiative, John Porter and Gary Tillman identified local farm and greenhouse photo sources, with Gary to contact Christin Sandhammer at Live Free Florals and John Porter to contact a farm-stand operator on 175 King Street.
John Porter also noted the Farm Bureau newsletter (available at the town office) includes an article on agritourism wedding sites and commissioners mentioned local agritourism operations as photo and outreach candidates. No ordinances, contracts, or binding new policy actions were taken at the meeting.
