Hudsonville board approves 17 certified hires and accepts administrator Pat’s retirement

The board approved the certified hires by voice vote. The meeting record does not include salary figures for the hires; the presenter noted none of the new staff were informed of their exact salary amounts during the announcement.
The board also voted to accept Patrick’s retirement after 11 years with the district. Members praised his service; Patrick addressed the board, thanked colleagues and the community, and said he will remain through the end of August to assist with transition.
The superintendent and board leaders used the occasion to welcome the new hires and to thank administrators and building leaders for the year’s work. Further personnel and transition details will be handled by district human resources and central office as part of normal onboarding and succession procedures.
