The Village of Bayside Architectural Review Committee unanimously approved installation of a 20-foot by 14-foot gazebo over an existing concrete patio at 950 West Jonathan Lane at its March 10, 2026, meeting.
Homeowner Joseph Winland described the proposal as a "purple leaf" gazebo to be placed over the rear patio. Committee Member Christine Duback asked whether the gazebo’s pillars would be secure; Winland replied they would be drilled into the existing concrete patio. Trustee Liaison Ben Minkin asked whether electricity would be run to the structure; Winland said an electrical company will run a conduit to provide power for fans and string lights.
Trustee Minkin moved to approve the gazebo, and Committee Member Jeffrey Harrington seconded; the motion carried unanimously. No conditions or modifications were recorded in the meeting minutes.
The approval was taken at the same short session that approved a separate fence application. The meeting opened at 5:00 p.m. and adjourned at 5:09 p.m.
