Director Dan Hoock told the commission the Town Hall rec center area will be completely closed the last week of June for renovation work. Hoock said that based on the timeline provided to him, work on some spaces — including the large meeting room — is not expected to be completed by September. He warned that groups that normally use those spaces may need to find alternate meeting locations or adjust schedules into the fall.
The commission did not adopt a formal reassignment plan at the meeting; staff will coordinate logistics for programs and rental users as renovation progress becomes clearer.
