Committee members noted planners’ cost estimates ranged from about $150,000 to more than $300,000, and the committee discussed having a finance-committee representative involved in the update process.
The committee also revised prior recommendations to change funding sources from 'available funds' to 'free cash' on multiple articles. Among the funding-source changes the committee approved were:
- $79,260 for Old South Dennis Cemetery and Liberty Field improvements (recommendation changed to free cash).
- $440,000 for acquisition of 61A Old Hills Road (recommendation changed to free cash).
- $38,090 for the town phone system; the expense was described as needed "to comply with federal and state regulations," and the committee changed the recommendation to transfer from free cash.
- $19,980 to improve data backup and recovery systems, changed to free cash.
The committee approved amended minutes from its Aug. 15 meeting and then adjourned.
