Thayne council approves $27,704.85 East Booster Pump payment, ratifies routine bills and TAP pathway application

Mayor Devin Simpson and the Thayne Town Council approved a $27,704.85 payment request for the Town of Thayne East Booster Pump Improvement project at their July 19 meeting. Robert Hood of Sunrise Engineering told the council the USB board had been replaced, the overhead door and concrete had been modified to allow pump access, and pumps were on order; Sunrise reviewed the submission and found the request consistent with contract documents.
Councilmember Passey moved to approve Payment Request #1 for $27,704.85; Councilmember Pelletier seconded and the motion carried. The council also moved earlier in the meeting to issue checks (to be ratified at the next meeting) and to pay current bills; those motions, moved by Councilmember Passey and seconded by Councilmembers Woolley and Heward at different points, were carried without further debate.
The council ratified Resolution No. 2023-7-14, authorizing the Town to submit a Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) pathway application. Councilmember Passey moved the ratification and Councilmember Pelletier seconded; the motion carried.
The meeting packet included a list of general bills and payroll totaling $19,517.60 in salaries and multiple vendor charges; notable line items included a construction draw to WS Construction for $27,704.85 related to the booster-pump work and an electricity bill of $4,371.33. The council adjourned at 7:52 p.m.
