Upper Hanover Township’s Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on Feb. 10 to adopt Ordinance 2026-02, authorizing execution of a cable franchise agreement between the township and Comcast of Southeast, Pennsylvania, LLC.
The ordinance was presented by Township Solicitor Zac Sivertsen. Supervisor Tim Woodward moved to adopt Ordinance No. 2026-02; Stefan Laessig seconded the motion, and the vote was 4-0 in favor. The minutes record that there were no public comments on the ordinance.
The franchise ordinance authorizes the township to execute the contractual paperwork with Comcast as set out in the ordinance; the Solicitor presented the ordinance during his report and the Board entered the adoption on the record. The Board did not direct additional study or public hearings at the meeting.
The Board’s action completes local adoption; the next step is execution of the agreement as authorized by the ordinance.
