Upper Hanover supervisors deny authority waiver, request compaction reports and approve $1,222.52 repair quote

During the March 26 work session, the Upper Hanover Township Board of Supervisors reviewed several operational matters and approved a vendor repair quote.
Township and Authority engineers presented photographs of road damage along Water Street beyond the trench for a new water line; Township Engineer Peter Eisenbrown said he has not yet received compaction reports he requested and wants to review them before recommending corrective action. The Township and the Authority engineers will coordinate to resolve the damage.
The Upper Hanover Authority asked the Township to waive financial security requirements for Road Opening Permits on Station Road; the Board was unanimously opposed and made no motion to approve the request.
Supervisor Tim Woodward moved to accept Longacre’s quote to replace a circuit board in a shop heating system for $1,222.52; the motion was seconded by Stefan Laessig and approved 4‑0.
The Board adjourned at 9:20 p.m. following these items.
