The Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council voted 5-0 on Oct. 26 to approve a renewed exemption from the oversized-vehicle ordinance and to grant a parking permit for a Ford 550 utility truck at 4904 Lazio Way.
Mike Green moved the motion, which Mike Mc Reynolds seconded; the minutes record the vote as unanimous. The MAC discussed the application under agenda item 10.d and recorded approval.
A second application for a different vehicle — a 379 Peterbilt equipment hauler at the same address — was submitted as a new exemption and parking-permit request but was withdrawn by the applicant before consideration, according to the minutes.
Why it matters: Approvals of oversized-vehicle exemptions affect neighborhood parking and enforcement; the MAC considered the renewed exemption and approved it after review.
Next steps: County staff will finalize the renewed exemption and parking permit in accordance with ordinance procedures.
