Oak Park MAC approves agenda and minutes; hears committee updates and community reminders

The Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council convened at 7:00 P.M. on Dec. 21, 2010, with Chair Green presiding and five MAC members recorded present.
The council unanimously approved the meeting agenda (motion by Michael Paule, seconded by Derek Ross) and then unanimously approved the minutes of the Nov. 30 meeting (motion by Derek Ross, seconded by Mike Mc Reynolds). The minutes record both votes as 5‑0.
Michael Paule reported that a recent Standing Landscape Committee drive‑through found the MAC‑approved plantings performing well and that landscaping in County Service Area (CSA) #4 appeared in good condition. Mike Mc Reynolds gave an update on the Triunfo Sanitation District Board meeting and the swearing‑in of new board members. Derek Ross encouraged residents to maintain household disaster kits and to conserve water by turning off sprinklers when it rains. Mike Green reminded the council that the January 2011 MAC meeting will include the MAC's annual reorganization.
The council noted an upcoming election for members of the Oak Park Recreation and Park Planning Committee, scheduled for Jan. 25, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. in Oak Park High School, Room G‑9. The minutes record no public comments during the public comment period. Chair Green adjourned the meeting at 8:25 P.M.
