Oak Park High School eyes 'Every 15 Minutes' program; CHP and sheriff's department offer support

VCSD Captain Brent Kerr said the sheriff’s department would gather information about nearby schools’ programs and report back to the MAC; he also said his department is organizing an awareness campaign about illegal drug use and flagged an uptick in heroin use in the Conejo Valley as a related local public‑safety concern.
MAC members asked about corporate sponsorship and state grants as options for offsetting upfront costs; Supervisor Parks’ office said it would provide a DVD about the program that Principal Buchanan had brought. No formal action was taken; staff follow‑up was requested.
