Shadyside council approves building permits, routine bills and reallocations

The Village of Shadyside Council on July 14 approved two major building permits and several minor permits, then moved through routine finance items and a reallocation of $8,000 among budget line items.
Councilwoman Melanie Haswell moved to approve William Mount’s major permit for a new garage at 427 W. 36th (Weaver Construction); Councilman Sam Carpino seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The council also approved a major permit for Mr. Sustarich and a slate of minor permits (including Lynne Johnson, Raisbeck's, Shaye Lee and Troy Jeffers) after a motion and second; all passed on unanimous votes.
On finance matters, Councilman Robert Gorrell moved and Councilman Sam Carpino seconded approval of the Regular & Blanket Purchase List/Bills and the Appropriations and Revenue reports as of June 30, 2025; the 6/30/25 bank reconciliation was also approved. Council approved a reallocation (5101‑539‑352: $8,000; 5101‑539‑420: $6,000; 5101‑539‑190: $2,000) as recorded in the minutes.
The council adjourned at 6:47 p.m.; the next regular session is scheduled for July 28, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.
