Bayside architectural committee unanimously approves two residential additions

The Village of Bayside Architectural Review Committee on Jan. 13 unanimously approved two separate single‑family home additions: a 180 square‑foot first‑floor kitchen addition with a 168 square‑foot deck at 911 East Buttles Place, and a 716 square‑foot first‑floor master suite and sunroom at 9461 North Regent Court.
Julie Lange, project manager with B&E Contractors, described both projects and told the committee that exterior materials for each addition will match the existing homes. For the 911 East Buttles Place project she said the kitchen addition will be located on the southwest corner of the house and that the existing fence will be cut back to the addition’s location. Committee Member Dan Zitzer asked for clarification on the location of the Swanson addition; Acting Chair Ben Minkin asked about fence plans.
Both projects were approved by motion. For the Swanson application (911 East Buttles Place) Acting Chair Ben Minkin moved approval and Committee Member Dan Zitzer seconded; the motion carried unanimously. For the Newman application (9461 North Regent Court) Committee Member Dan Zitzer moved approval and Acting Chair Ben Minkin seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The committee had previously approved its Dec. 15, 2025 minutes earlier in the meeting. The committee adjourned at 5:11 p.m.
