At the Feb. 4 special meeting, Town Clerk Gray administered oaths to Ruzena Rok as mayor and to Wade Bitter as councilman. Shortly after, the council unanimously appointed Mr. Larry Lawton as municipal judge.
Councilman Ellis moved to appoint Larry Lawton as municipal judge; Councilman Bitter seconded and the vote was recorded as all ayes. Clerk Gray then swore in Judge Lawton during the meeting.
These ceremonial and appointment actions were completed without opposition; there were no recorded abstentions or roll-call objections at the Feb. 4 meeting.
