Chief Humes organized a Sudden Cardiac Arrest presentation during the March 18 meeting to recognize first responders whose actions saved two patients. Humes explained that the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Association typically organizes these presentations but scheduling changes led him to arrange the event. He presented certificates and challenge coins to members of the West Deer Police Department, West Deer Fire Company #3 and West Deer EMS in recognition of life‑saving response at two separate incidents.
Chief Humes thanked the Board for permitting the presentation and noted the training and interagency cooperation that helped produce positive outcomes. The presentation was ceremonial; no formal action was taken.
