Boscawen Select Board approves routine finance and facilities items including $55,000 paving and several delegations

At its June 10 meeting the Boscawen Select Board handled a series of routine administrative and finance items.
Town Administrator Katie Phelps presented and the board signed a supplemental sewer warrant for Map 83, Lot 9, Sublot 2 in the amount of $63. Facilities Director Gary Moore requested $55,000 for paving at the Public Works building; Chairman Matt Burdick moved to approve the expense to be taken from the Municipal Buildings Capital Reserve Fund, the motion was seconded and carried unanimously.
Finance Director Kate Merrill proposed updating the list of town credit card holders and delegations of deposit authority and ACH authority; the board approved the recommended staff list and delegation updates. Merrill also presented several donations (including $150 from Marshall’s Florist in honor of Rhoda Hardy’s funeral; $297.13 from Lorrie Carey for summer camp supplies; a $25 donation from the Lorna Carlisle Revocable Trust for town park improvements; and a $1,000 donation from Linda Woodward for Parks & Recreation); the board approved each donation.
Moore noted a $26,000 fuel‑pump invoice and a one‑time $5,368 surveillance equipment and installation charge tied to the Public Works building addition; the board agreed these would be coded to the Public Works Building and Grounds Capital Reserve Fund and that Moore should budget for ongoing maintenance going forward.
The board later entered a non‑public session under RSA 91‑A:3 II (c) and returned to public session before adjourning. Its next meeting was set for June 17, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
