Thayne council approves multiple ordinances, schedules special meeting for zoning second reading
Summary
At its Nov. 15 meeting the Thayne Town Council approved several ordinances (many on third reading), carried motions to adopt new fees and land-use amendments, and set a Dec. 6 special meeting for the second reading of a zoning change affecting Bragger Addition Lots 1 and 2.
The Thayne Town Council on Nov. 15 voted to adopt multiple ordinances and moved several others forward after routine motions and brief discussion. Councilmembers present included Mayor Simpson and Councilmembers Passey, Woolley, Pelletier and Heward.
Council approved Ordinance No. 384 (an addition to Title 11, Subdivision of Land) and Ordinance No. 385 (an addition to Title 5, Public Safety) on their third readings after motions and seconds were recorded and the motions carried. The council also passed Ordinance No. 386 (amending Title 8, Water Use and Service) on third reading (see related article on impact fees). Ordinance No. 387 (Title 9, Building Requirements and Permits), Ordinance No. 388 (Title 10 AR District Permitted Uses), and Ordinance No. 389 (Title 3 Business License) were approved on third reading.
On first reading the council moved Ordinance No. 390 (AR Districts Lot and Yard Requirements Amendment) and Ordinance No. 391 (storage/shipping containers addition); both motions carried. Earlier in the meeting a motion carried to approve the first reading of Ordinance No. 392, a zoning change from AR-1 to C-1 for Bragger Addition Lots 1 and 2; Mayor Simpson asked the council to hold a special meeting on Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. for the second reading, and council members agreed.
