The Woolwich Township Joint Land Use Board voted Feb. 20 to authorize Solicitor Mike Aimino to respond on the board’s behalf in pending litigation, and to approve amendments to an FSH settlement agreement that permit designated signatories, the board minutes show.
The actions followed a closed executive session called under Resolution 2025-13 to discuss pending litigation. The board entered closed session at 7:05 p.m.; Solicitor Mike Aimino discussed the matter during that session and advised the board it would need to authorize a public response when it returned to open session.
After returning to public session at 7:23 p.m., the board voted to authorize Aimino to respond for the JLUB. The motion was made by Grasso and seconded by Rushton; roll-call voting recorded affirmative votes from members Cotton, Daniels, Grasso, Kauffman, Moorer, Rushton, Healey, Trautz and Maugeri. Members Fluellen, Matthias and Nocentino were recorded as absent.
The board then approved an amendment to the FSH settlement agreement with the township and authorized three signatories: Maugeri, Solicitor Mike Aimino and Joint Land Use Secretary Shannon Kilpatrick. Cotton made the motion to authorize the amendment, and Rushton seconded; the roll call repeated the same nine affirmative votes.
The board also adopted Resolution 2025-14 related to FSH. Rushton moved the resolution with Grasso seconding; the recorded vote was nine in favor, and the resolution carried.
Earlier in the meeting the board approved minutes from the reorganization meeting and regular meeting on Jan. 16, 2025 (motions by Grasso and Rushton), and conducted routine roll call. With no further business, the chairman called for adjournment; Kauffman moved to adjourn, Rushton seconded, and the meeting ended at approximately 7:26 p.m.
The minutes note that they are not verbatim and that an audio recording is on file. The minutes do not describe the substance of the litigation or the specific terms of the FSH settlement amendment; those details were discussed in closed session and are not included in the public minutes.
