Woolwich Township Joint Land Use Board members elected Joe Maugeri as chair and Bob Rushton as vice chair and carried several reorganization resolutions at a Jan. 16, 2025 meeting that ran from 7:02 to 7:33 p.m.
JLUB Secretary Shannon Kilpatrick called the meeting to order, confirmed compliance with the Open Public Meetings Act and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Michael Aimino administered the Oath of Public Office to members listed on the record.
The board voted unanimously to appoint Joe Maugeri chair (Resolution #2025-01). The roll call recorded affirmative votes from Dana Cotton, Thomas Daniels, Grasso, Joe Kauffman-IV, Moorer, Mike Nocentino, Bob Rushton, Patrick Healey and Maugeri. After the vote, Aimino administered the oath to Maugeri and the new chairman thanked members for the appointment.
Grasso nominated Bob Rushton for vice chair; the board adopted Resolution #2025-02 appointing Rushton by unanimous roll-call vote and Aimino administered the oath to him.
The board approved a consent agenda covering multiple routine resolutions and separately considered the 2025 meeting calendar. During calendar discussion Chairman Maugeri led members in removing two dates, July 3 and Nov. 20, from the schedule before adopting the calendar under Resolution #2025-04.
The board then considered appointment of the JLUB planner. Board member Bob Rushton said the firm under consideration had previously sued the township and stated he was not in favor of selecting that firm, but he ultimately voted in favor. The board adopted Resolution #2025-08 appointing Ashton Jones as the JLUB planner by unanimous roll call.
Following questions from Joe Kauffman-IV about the purpose of a completeness committee, Chairman Maugeri explained the committee's role in reviewing application completeness. The board adopted Resolution #2025-09 establishing the completeness committee, again by unanimous roll call.
With no further business the reorganization portion of the meeting was adjourned at 7:33 p.m. The minutes were recorded by JLUB Secretary Shannon Kilpatrick.
