Upper Hanover adopts 2026 budget, leaves tax rates unchanged

The Upper Hanover Township Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted the 2026 municipal budget and left tax rates unchanged at its Dec. 9, 2025 meeting.
Ben Fiorito, chair of the Finance Committee, summarized the budget and told the board it had been properly advertised and received no public comments during the 20‑day comment period. The board approved Resolution No. 2025‑39 by a 3‑0 vote.
The treasurer’s report for the period ending Nov. 30, 2025, showed total township funds of $17,947,475.68. Separately, the Upper Hanover Authority approved its 2026 budgets: a sewer operating budget of $1.5 million with $1.8 million in capital projects and a water operating budget of $1.7 million with $5.1 million in capital expenditures. Bids for the Route 29 Water Line Replacement Project are scheduled to be opened in early January, the board was told.
The board approved routine minutes and bills and handled payment approvals consistent with the adopted budget direction. The board did not revise tax rates as part of the adoption.
The board’s next scheduled meetings are its organization meeting on Jan. 5, 2026, and a regular meeting on Jan. 13, 2026.
