The Borough of Runnemede council approved a set of grouped resolutions introduced at the meeting, covering administrative certifications, the introduction of the 2026 budget, licensing approvals and intergovernmental agreements.
Among the items adopted were a resolution to utilize the three-year average tax collection rate for 2026 (Resolution 2655), certification of compliance with federal equal-employment requirements (Resolution 2656), the formal introduction of the 2026 budget as Resolution 2657, and Resolution 2658 authorizing a shared-service agreement with the Runnemede Board of Education to place a School Resource Officer in the district. The council also confirmed 2026 appointments (Resolution 2660), authorized refunds for a tax-exempt property (Resolution 2661), and approved a walk-on request for a Little League parade (Resolution 2662).
Used-car license applications for Toyota Century Auto World and Gateway Classic Cars were presented as complete; Miss Kelly moved and Miss Pacio seconded approval and the council approved the license actions.
Roll-call votes were recorded for the grouped resolutions and for payment of bills; the clerk read names as voting affirmatively on several items. The council also instructed staff to proceed with standard posting of documents and scheduling of first readings and hearings where required.
Next steps: documents and resolutions will be posted on the borough website; staff will proceed with SRO contract steps in coordination with the board of education and will circulate appointment confirmations.
