Runnemede council approves routine minutes, business license and releases CVS maintenance bond

At the meeting, council members voted to approve minutes from the Dec. 30, 2025 and Jan. 6, 2026 meetings after a motion by Miss Pasio and a second by Mr. Pharaoh. The council then approved a used-car lot license for Belmar Collision; Miss Pasio moved the license motion and Mr. White seconded.
Council adopted Resolution 2649, authorizing release of a maintenance bond for the CVS property. Members asked whether escrow fees needed to be returned and were told no, that this action concerned only the bond. A roll-call vote was recorded and the resolution was adopted.
The council also adopted Resolution 2650 confirming the retirement of Joy Christmas, who submitted a retirement letter after 28 years of service; members expressed appreciation for her service and seasonal decorating traditions. The resolution passed on roll call.
Separately, the council moved to pay the borough's monthly bills; motion by Miss Pasio, second by Mr. Shapiro, and the roll call showed assent.
The meeting included routine committee reports and public safety updates before the public-comment period. The council closed the public portion and adjourned at 7:28 p.m.
