Trenton swears in two new officers; chief highlights diversity and academy honors

Trenton — At the Nov. 20 council meeting the Trenton Police Department introduced and formally swore in two new officers, Llaya Kyle and Jenna Fra.
Chief Carr told the council that Kyle and Fra are the first officers hired and sent through the academy directly by the Trenton Police Department and that they are only the department’s second and third full‑time female officers. He said both officers were recognized at the Butler Tech Police Academy (Brian Douly Leadership Award) and that Officer Fra graduated as class valedictorian and scored 99% on her state exam.
Council and community members welcomed the new officers and offered congratulations during the meeting’s presentations.
