CCSD 46 board approves personnel slate; superintendent to leave June 29 to access retirement option

The Grayslake Community Consolidated School District 46 board approved routine business and personnel actions at its June 10 meeting, including a one-day early retirement for outgoing Superintendent Dr. Lynn Glickman.
Dr. Glickman explained she requested to retire June 29 (one day earlier than previously scheduled) to qualify for a specific option through the teacher retirement system that would not be available if she retired June 30. The board approved the consent agenda containing the addendum; the district noted that Mrs. Block will serve as superintendent on June 30 and Dr. Carmona will begin July 1.
Separately, the board approved a contract amendment for Mary Murphy to serve as assistant principal at Grayslake ("Gra Lake") Middle School, and it approved the appointment of Stephanie Nicolleti as assistant principal of Avon School. District leaders introduced Nicolleti and described her roles in CCSD46 since 2018, including kindergarten teacher, media specialist and instructional coach.
The board also approved the 2026–2027 meeting calendar and a Summit K12 Connect to Literacy contract that administration said yields $42,620 in cost savings. Each motion was moved and seconded and recorded as carried during the meeting.
The board paused other agenda items (the Prairie View marquee sign vote and a strategic-plan contract amendment) and rescheduled them for later meetings.
