The Indian Hill Board of Education on March 17 voted to accept the treasurer’s report and approved several contracts, donations and personnel actions presented by the treasurer and superintendent.
Treasurer’s items included maintenance and technology contracts (Acer Chromebook warranties, server and camera license renewals), a boiler replacement contract with Blau Mechanical, and custodial services renewals with Scarlet and Gray. The board discussed the federal school lunch program and said the district will consider whether to remove the primary and elementary buildings from the program, a decision that would require formal action later.
The board approved a five-year naming-rights sponsorship with Moes Engineering that will place the company logo on the alumni room; the sponsorship value listed in the agenda was $100,000 over five years. Trustees thanked Brad Moes and referenced a transfer of company ownership to Mike Murdoch (referenced in the meeting as someone who intends to live in the district).
The superintendent’s personnel slate included administrative-contract changes and internal promotions: Erica Leopard is shifting to a part-time teaching role, Christina Smith was recognized as stepping into an assistant-principal or leadership role at the primary school, and Elizabeth Reebush was identified as an internal hire to assistant-principal. The board also accepted retirements and resignations noted on the agenda, including long-serving staff members acknowledged in the meeting.
Board members moved and seconded motions to accept the treasurer’s report and the superintendent’s personnel recommendations; roll-call votes reported affirmative responses from the board. Several donations were accepted as listed on the agenda, including gifts to support field trips and classroom grants.
