Covington council approves consent agenda; holds executive session on personnel and legal matters

Dawn Duff moved to accept the consent agenda and Julie Blumenstock seconded. The vote recorded in the minutes was: Jess Reynolds abstained; Martin Leistner, Dawn Duff, Derrick Canan, Amy Welborn and Julie Blumenstock voted aye. The motion passed.
Later in the meeting Mayor Lee Harmon said the council needed to enter executive session under Ohio Revised Code 121.22(G)(1) to consider personnel matters and (G)(3) to consider pending or imminent court action. A motion to enter executive session was made by Dawn Duff and seconded by Martin Leistner; all voted to enter and the council moved into executive session at 7:35 PM. A subsequent motion by Derrick Canan, seconded by Dawn Duff, ended the executive session at 8:16 PM. The minutes state there was no action to be taken after the executive session.
A final motion to adjourn, made by Martin Leistner and seconded by Dawn Duff, carried and the meeting adjourned at 8:17 PM.
