Williams County Commissioners on Jan. 8 approved a set of routine actions, recording unanimous roll-call votes on several resolutions that comprised the meeting’s agenda.
The board approved minutes of the Jan. 6 meeting (Resolution 26-0027); approved the agenda as amended (Resolution 26-0028); and approved payment of county bills (Resolution 26-0029). The commissioners also approved supplemental appropriations on behalf of the Williams County Airport Authority and county victims services (Resolution 26-0030).
The board authorized two Title IV-E child-placement contracts submitted by Williams County Department of Job & Family Services: an agreement with Kids Count Too, Inc. and an agreement with Keeping Kids Safe, Inc. (Resolutions 26-0031 and 26-0032). Both contracts list a maximum payable amount of $5,000 and run Jan. 1 through June 30, 2026, per materials submitted to the commissioners.
The commissioners authorized advertising for sealed bids for two county-engineer projects: Project #01-2026 (asphalt emulsion products) with a bid deadline of Jan. 29, 2026 (Resolution 26-0033), and Project #02-2026 (Durham Estates storm-sewer improvements) with a bid deadline of Feb. 5, 2026 (Resolution 26-0034). The resolutions state that notice will be published in a newspaper of general circulation and on the county website.
Each resolution was moved and seconded on the record and carried by roll call votes: Terry N. Rummel yes; Bartley E. Westfall yes; Scott A. Lirot yes.
The board recorded these actions in the official minutes; resolution texts note compliance with Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code for open meetings.
