The Waynesfield Village Council moved and voted to adopt two routine fiscal resolutions on the agenda.
Resolution 25-8-1, which the council described as the annual certification accepting the amounts and rates determined by the budget commission and authorizing the necessary tax levies to be certified to the county auditor, was adopted following a motion and recorded roll-call votes. Council members recorded affirmative votes and the motion passed.
The council also moved to declare an emergency and to adopt Resolution 25-8-2, accepting and adopting the 2026 alternate plan for distribution of local government funds and local government revenue assistance funds as presented by the county budget commission. That resolution was likewise adopted by recorded roll call.
Both actions were presented as standard, annual fiscal housekeeping required by the budget commission and county processes; council recorded unanimous affirmations by members present during the votes.
Next steps: the clerk will certify the adopted levies and return the required paperwork to the county auditor and the county budget commission consistent with state and county timelines.
