Planning board approves topography changes, screening relief and schedules February meeting

The Village of Valley View Planning Board on Jan. 21 approved several routine items on its agenda and set administrative deadlines for the next meeting.
Without applicants present, the board approved alterations to topography and a temporary vehicle staging variance for a parcel on West Canal Road (P.P.N. 571-06-018). The board also approved a request for relief to screen roof-mounted equipment at 9500 Sweet Valley Dr. (P.P.N. 571-21-003). Both items passed on recorded roll calls with the present members voting in the affirmative.
Patty and Frank Campoy attended to inquire about a fence permit for Murray Road after a neighbor dispute over which side of the finished fence faces outward; building officials told them to submit plans and confirmed staff would advise whether a variance is required. On other business, the board moved the February planning-board meeting from Feb. 18 to Feb. 11, 2025, unless the agenda requires otherwise, and set a materials deadline of 12:00 noon on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025.
What happens next: applicants for the West Canal Road and Sweet Valley Drive items proceed with any required permitting; the Campoys should file fence plans for staff review; the Planning Department will post any revised Feb. agenda by Feb. 3.
