Valley View council authorizes newsletter contract and advertises bids for public‑works projects

At its Nov. 5 meeting, the Valley View council approved a Finance Committee recommendation authorizing Recreation Director Von Ville to purchase the 2025 village newsletter from Master Printing for an amount not to exceed $16,560, with postage included. The motion, moved by Councilwoman Jakubczak and seconded by Councilman Wilson, passed on a 4–0 roll call.
The council also authorized Engineer Sciano to prepare plans and specifications and advertise for bids on three public‑works projects: a fire department roof replacement, Schreiber Road flexible pavement repairs, and the Village of Valley View 2025 annual grass‑cutting program. Each authorization was moved by Councilman Jakubczak, seconded by Councilman Wyatt, and approved 4–0.
Recreation Director Von Ville thanked residents for their approval of a levy and reminded the public that the village lighting ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. The engineering notices begin the procurement timeline for projects that will return to council for contract award following the bidding process.
