The meeting, presided over by Mayor Matt March, moved Ordinance 2024‑11‑1 (to pay certain claims for October 2024) to third and final reading and passed it on a 4–0 roll call. Mayor March introduced Ordinance 2024‑11‑2 to authorize the mayor to enter into an agreement with ALM; the council suspended the rules and passed the ordinance (4–0).
Mayor March introduced three personnel ordinances appointing Nathan Barnatt, Alex Russo and Antonio Bennardo as part‑time members of the Valley View Fire Department. Each ordinance was placed on third and final reading after suspension of the rules and passed on a 4–0 roll call.
Clerk‑Treasurer Mary Snyder is listed on the minutes as having provided the statement of cash for the period ending Oct. 31, 2024; the minutes record the council’s unanimous votes on the ordinances. The fire chief, Chief Papesh, thanked the community for support of the new hires and for support of community programs.
