Versailles students propose 5K at Heritage Park; Hometown Christmas set for Nov. 7

High school student Max Meyer told the council that the Versailles High School Ohio Means Jobs class plans to hold a 5K race that will start and finish at Heritage Park, run down Klipstine and return to the park. The presentation outlined the route and start/finish location; the presentation was informational and no council vote or permit decision was recorded at the meeting.
Administrator Francis also reported that the Hometown Christmas event will be held Nov. 7 from 5–8 p.m. and will include food trucks, a Christmas tree lighting, free crafts and treats, carriage rides, and a new blow-up photo “snow globe” for family photos. Final planning was completed at a committee meeting on Oct. 22.
Council recorded the student presentation and the committee’s event update for the record; further permit or road-closure requirements for the race were not discussed during the meeting.
