Erin Miller, an AMP presenter, told the Versailles Village Council on Oct. 22 that AMP’s Thermostat Program offers a way for the Village and its customers to reduce electric bills through coordinated thermostat management and demand-response measures.
Miller described the program as an energy-efficiency and load-management initiative designed to lower peak demand and save participating customers money on their electric bills. The presentation to council was informational; no formal vote or commitment by the Village was recorded during the meeting.
The presentation was placed on the record so that village staff can continue discussions with AMP as village infrastructure and financing decisions (including substation upgrades and potential transmission projects) proceed.
