Council schedules March 26 public hearing on Revitalization District request from Rails of Versailles restaurant

The Village of Versailles will hold a public hearing on March 26, 2025 at 6:45 p.m. to consider establishing a Revitalization District (RD) after receiving a written request from Amber Griffin, manager of The Rails of Versailles LLC. The RD would allow entities that primarily serve food to apply for a non-quota D5-L liquor license under state rules; state and local notices must be published and a hearing is required after two weeks’ public notice.
Council approved scheduling the hearing by motion from Mr. Griesdorn, seconded by Mr. Steinbrunner; the motion passed unanimously. The hearing will be held at the EMS facility and will follow the notice period required by law.
