Gino said Scott will produce benefit‑cost analyses and cost estimates and will work alongside Millennium on grant application materials and homeowner outreach once grant announcements are released. Staff said some additional homes (nine of 22 evaluated) may be candidates for a utility‑room elevation or other pilot programs; those would be pursued in a later funding round.
Staff emphasized that the village, not individual homeowners, must submit FEMA/BRIC applications and that homeowners accepted into the program will sign an agreement covering their cost share (for example, 75% covered for repetitive‑loss properties, 100% for severe‑repetitive‑loss cases, with the homeowner responsible for any required share).
Trustees asked staff to proceed quickly given anticipated grant windows and to make Rod Scott available (in person or by remote connection) to support application review at an upcoming meeting.
Next steps: staff will refine the applicant list, complete required benefit‑cost documentation, and prepare resolution/authorization language so the village can submit grant applications when funding opens.
