Intermunicipal agreement with Board of Education — Approved. The board authorized an IMA to allow mutual use of facilities between the village and the school district, with custodial or incremental costs to be charged when applicable.
Water Fund budget amendment for civil penalties — Approved. Trustees approved a Water Fund budget amendment to fund civil penalties tied to the Westchester Joint Water Works settlement. After an interest correction the board set the amendment total at $353,750.
Road closures for community events — Approved. The board authorized road closures for the Spooktacular Halloween parade (Sunday, Oct. 20, 11 a.m.–1 p.m.) and the Turkey Trot (Sunday, Nov. 24, 9:15 a.m.–11:30 a.m.).
Police grant acceptance — Approved. The board accepted $130,498 in grant funding for police-technology purchases (undercover cameras, drone, crime-scene scanner, vehicle retrofit, radar/lidar, and roadside impairment detection) and created the capital project funded by those grant funds.
Interim building-inspector contract — Approved. Trustees authorized execution of a contract to provide interim building-inspector and plan-review services while the municipality recruits a permanent inspector. Discussion named David Turiano as a proposed consultant and covered the scope of inspections and permit-signing procedures; staff said signing will be performed by the interim manager or a designated acting inspector.
Other votes — The board approved funding for planning-department consultant services (approx. $55,000), authorized spending for an IACP-related police video ($26,250), approved a bridge dedication ceremony in memory of Dan Sarnoff (Oct. 21) and removed required parking spaces in front of 933 Mamaroneck Ave. The Green Mountain invoice for $335,920 was held for documentation review and will be revisited before payment.
